[420] ὀτρύνοντο νέκυς: so Ar.; vulg. “ὤτρυνον νέκυας”, but the active “ὀτρύνειν” is always transitive. νέκυς: acc. pl. as Od. 24.417; see H. G. § 100 for other instances, and note on 18.180. But the line is probably added to supply the verb to 419, quite needlessly.
