[224] τρόπεον, here only. Perhaps we should read “τρόπαον”, see on 15.666; the change may be due to the analogy of the later Ionic “ὁρέω”, etc., aided by the disappearance of “τροπάω” into “τρωπάω”. The text, however, may be defended by the analogy of “φορέω” beside “φέρω. ὄσσοντο1.105.
