[486] σοῖο, not “σεῖο”, for the gen. is not used as a mere possessive; “σεῖο φονῆος18.335 is of course another matter. But “ἑοῖο”, thine own, is a very probable variant, and it may be questioned if this was not Zen.'s reading rather than “σεῖο”. There may easily have been a mistake in interpreting “σοῖο: Ζηνόδοτος διὰ τοῦ ε”, which would be the Didymean scholion. But the ordinary interpretation is confirmed by Zen.'s “ἐμεῖο” for “ἐμοῖο14.118 and de Pron. 108. 12 (see Ludwich ad loc.).
