[468] This is one of the few allusions in Homer to the legend of the Argonauts. The others are in 21.40, 23.746, and Od. 12.69-72. Lemnos is mentioned also in 2.722, 8.230 (here again with an allusion to wine-drinking). The Minyan colony there seems to be regarded as preserving a friendly neutrality towards the Greeks. In 9.72 the supply of wine is said to come from Thrace.
