[363] μεταμώνια occurs elsewhere only in Od. (Od. 2.98, etc.). Both der. and form are quite uncertain; the majority of MSS. are in favour of “μεταμώλια”, perhaps influenced by the similar sense of “ἀνεμώλια” above. Compare also the Odyssean “ἀποφώλιος”, which is equally obscure.
