[876] ἀήξυλα: so MSS.; but there is little doubt, as Clemm has shewn, that the word, which is not found elsewhere, is only an itacistic mistake for “ἀϝίσυλα”, iniqua, from “ϝῖσος”: hence the commoner contracted form “αἴσυλος”.
