[713] δίζε, doubted, only here and in an oracle, Herod.i. 65; no doubt from “δϝι”-, connected with “δύο, δίς”, in the sense to be of two minds; cf. “δοιή” (9.230 with note), “διστάζειν”. It is probably not related to “δίζημαι” where the root is “ζη”- and “δι”- is reduplication.
