[450] ἦ οὐχ ἅλις is elsewhere followed by “ὅτι”, but “ὡς”=how is virtually equivalent, as usually explained, to “ὅτι οὕτως”. Brandreth omits ἦ, see on 5.349. αὔτως, because his triumph is soon to come to naught.
