[90] ῥεῖα, see on 72; “ῥεῖα μάλ̓, ὥς τε θεός,3.381, etc. Compare, however, 17.285 (with note) which is rather in favour of joining “ῥεῖα” with “ὤτρυνε”, as Heyne and others have done. μετεισάμενος, the “Ϝ” is neglected, see 4.138; “ῥεῖ᾽ ἐπιϝισάμενος” van L. But it looks as though confusion with root “”- go had already taken place. So also 17.285, 24.462.
