[645] The enumeration having passed from Boiotia S. and W. through Peloponnesos and the Western islands to Aitolia, now takes a fresh start from the S. of the Aegaean Sea and passes through the islauds to Thessaly. The Cretan towns named are all at the foot of Ida in the middle of the island. See Od. 19.1727 for the Homeric account of Crete.
