[54] Νεστορέηι = “Νέστορος”, as “Νηληΐωι”, l. 20; for the addition of the gen. cf. “Γοργείη κεφαλὴ δεινοῖο πελώρου” 5.741. No reason is given for the meeting at Nestor's ship, as though it were a matter of course; we should have expected to find Agamemnon's ship — or hut — the meeting-place of his council.
