[376] αἴσιον, for good luck. The word is “ἅπ. λεγ”., but cf. “ἦλθον ἐναίσιμον6.519, and the opposite, “παραίσια σήματα φαίνων”, inauspicious, 4.381. Or we may understand it to mean a man of moderation, which is nearer the usual sense of “αἶσα”, vide 1.418 and “ἐξαίσιον15.598.
