[735] “ μάρμαρον ὀκριόεντα, 12.380. Bentley conj. “ὀκριόενθ᾽, ὅν οἱ”, which is adopted by most edd., and is no doubt right if the line is genuine. The second part, however, is unusual, as it appears to describe a stone of small size, whereas those cast by heroes are elsewhere of heroic dimensions.
