[607] ἀφλοισμός, here only. The scholia call it an Aitolian form for “ἀφρός”. Cf. “φλιδάω, ἔφλιδε” and ““διαπέφλοιδεν: διακέχυται”” Hesych.; all express bubbling over. στόμα γίνετο, rhythm suggests “στόμ᾽ ἐγίνετο”.
