[69] μάντι representing “μάντιϊ”, is the form most in accordance with analogy (cf. “κνήστι11.640, “μήτι23.315 etc.), and it seems right to adopt it in place of the “μάντεϊ” or “μάντει” of the vulg. MSS. are of no authority on the point.
