[410] δ̀η τότε, ‘then indeed (it turned out that) she had not told him; i.e. a thing had come to pass that she had never told him,’ Monro. “δὴ τότε” regularly stands in antithesis to a stated time in the past, and indicates that the poet returns from it to his immediate narrative (Hentze). See note on 16.810.
