[255] Ar. objected against this line that Thersites was standing when he spoke (cf. 211-2), and therefore the word ἧσαι could not be properly used. But it is frequently found with a participle in a weak sense, meaning no more than to ‘keep on’ doing a thing; e.g. 1.134, 2.137; see also 4.412 (comp. with 366).
