[13] κεχρημένον, ‘desiring,’ ‘requiring;’ perhaps, through the notion of having a thing in constant use, till it becomes indispensable; cp. Il.19. 262.This sense is generally quoted as strictly Epic, but it is found in later Greek also, as “κέχρησαιEur. I. A.382; “-ήμεθαEur. Med.334; “-ησθε” Theocr. 26. 18.
