[150] Aristarchus objected here that Amphimedon could not know about the meeting of Ulysses and Telemachus in the house of Eumaeus. The difficulty is hardly one that the ordinary hearer of the Odyssey would feel. The real objection to the passage is that it repeats what the hearer knows already.
