[214] ὧδε emphasizes ἐπεὶ ἴδον, ‘just when I saw you’; hence it is = ‘at once,’ ‘without more ado.’ Similarly 17. 544 “ἐναντίον ὧδε κάλεσσον, 18. 224 ἥμενος ὧδε, 21. 196 ὧδε μάλ᾽ ἐξαπίνης”. Cp. the corresponding use of “οὕτως” in 6. 218., 17. 447 (with the note).
