[182] With ῥίμφα διώκοντες we may supply “νῆα”, as we find the passive in Od.13. 162νηῦς ῥίμφα διωκομένη”. But “διώκω” is used absolutely in Il.23. 344, though with unexpressed reference to “ἅρμα”. The apodosis begins with τὰς δ᾽.
