[210] ἐς Τροίην ἀναβήμεναι, ‘embarked for the land of Troy.’ A shorter form of a similar phrase in Od.4. 473“ἀναβαινέμεν ὄφρα τάχιστα”
“σὴν ἐς πατρίδ᾽ ἵκοιο πλέων ἐπὶ οἴνοπα πόντον”. So “ἐς Σιδονίην ἀναβάντες” Od.13. 285.ἔνθα = ‘whither;’ so in Il.2. 287“ἐνθάδε” is used in the sense of ‘hither;’ cp. “οὓς ἐνθάδε νῆες ἔνεικαν” Il.9. 306.
