[362] Join περὶἤλυθεν, and take Κύκλωπα as the direct object of the compound verb, and φρένας as the epexegetical accusative of nearer definition. Cp. Il.10. 139τὸν δ᾽ αἶψα περὶ φρένας ἤλυθ᾽ ἰωή”. Euripides uses a similar expression

ἕως ἐθέρμην̓ αὐτὸν ἀμφιβᾶσα φλὸξ
οἴνου

.
