[136] ἤματα πάντα. He had lived as an “ἀθάνατος” with Calypso up to this time; cp. Od.8. 453τόφρα δέ οἱ κομιδή γε θεῷ ὣς ἔμπεδος ἦεν”, but, as Dr. Hayman remarks, now that Calypso has no hope of keeping her lover, she feeds him with mortal food. See inf. 199-201. But “θεῷ ὥς” may mean no more than that he was right royally treated.
