[346] τῆ, used like the French tiens; compare also the use of “ἄγρει”; the plural form “τῆτε” is given by the Schol. on Aristoph. Acharn.204.Probably “τῆ” is the root “τα” with the imperatival termination “-θι”, so that “τῆ” is related to “τά-θι” as “ἵστη” to “ἵσταθι”. Join τῆ with τάνυσσαι, as “βάσκ᾽ ἴθι”, vade age, etc. Cp. Od.10. 287.

ὑπὸ στέρνοιο. Cp. Il.4. 106ὑπὸ στέρνοιο τυχήσας”.
