[79] οὐ γάρ τ᾽ ἀγνῶτες. Cp. Schol. P. Q. “οὐ γὰρ τῷ προεωρακέναι ἀλλὰ κατά τινα θείαν δύναμιν ἐγνώρισεν ἰδοῦσα Καλυψὼ τὸν Ἑρμῆν”. The following words οὐδ᾽ εἴ τιςναίει are intended to describe Calypso's own case, living in her distant isle of Ogygia. See inf. 100.
