[428] τῷφέρε, ‘carried for him.’

ἅμα is adverbial=‘going along with him,’ like “ἅμ᾽ ἑπομένη”.

ἰδυῖα. For this shortening of the feminine from “εἰδώς”, compare “τεθα^λυῖα Od.6. 293, “μεμα^κυῖα Il.4. 435, “σεσα^ρυῖα” fr. “σεσηρώς” Hesiod. Herc.268.Cp. Monro, H. G. § 26.
