[301] σὺ δ᾽ ἄρα πρώτην ἱκέτευσας. This clause really gives the reason why it was wrong in her not to think of bringing Odysseus; ‘for it was to her first thou didst make thy supplication.’ See on sup. 53, and cp. Il.4. 60, 61.
