[476] ὑφ᾽ ἅρματα (and 478 ὑφ᾽ ἅρμασιν), ‘beneath the yoke,’ which forms part of the apparatus of the chariot. Notice the use of the plural to denote a complex structure, as “ἱστία”.

ὁδοῖο. A partitive genitive. Cp. Od.15. 47; Il.24. 264.
