[261] διζήμενος. See Monro, H. G. § 16, who describes “δίζημαι” (“δι-σδη”) as a non-thematic redupl. present, the Epic equivalent of the Attic “ζητέω”. Cp. Curt. Verb. 106.

ὄφρα οἱ εἴη χρίεσθαι, ‘that he might have it to anoint his arrows withal;’ so “ὄφρα οἱ εἴη πίνειν Od.9. 248, “εἰ δ᾽ αὖ καὶ βόες εἶεν ἐλαυνέμεν” 18. 371; cp. 22. 216.
