[139] τὰ μὲν ἄρ που. The use of που gives a tone of resignation to the sentence; cp. Il.2. 116οὕτω που Διὶ μέλλει ὑπερμενέι φίλον εἶναι”. There is an emphasis upon αὐτοί, at the end of the line, as though he would say, ‘of their own will,’ ‘without consulting me.’
