[408] κατακείετε, fut. indic. (not imperative), used to show that Telemachus does not wish to do more than hint at the end of the feast (“διώκω δ᾽ οὔ τιν᾽ ἔγωγε”). On “κείω” see 14. 532. For the future=an imperative with a difference (i. e. an indirect, not a direct, request) we may compare Il.6. 70ἀλλ᾽ ἄνδρας κτείνωμεν: ἔπειτα δὲ . . . συλήσετε τεθνηῶτας”.
