[211] οὕς τινας. With the form of sentence cp. Od.1. 219ὃς ἀποτμότατος γένετο θνητῶν ἀνθρώπων”,

τοῦ μ᾽ ἔκ φασι γενέσθαι”. Here the words are equivalent to ‘quoscunque nostis hominum prae ceteris aerumnam tolerantes, illis me aequare possem.’
With ἴστεὀχέοντας compare “ᾔδεεν . . ἐόντα Od.23. 29, and with ἐν ἄλγεσιν compare “αἴσῃ ἐν ἀργαλέῃ φθίσει Il.21. 61, “ἰῇ ἐν τιμῇ Il.9. 319.
