[363] κατὰ κόσμον ‘aright’: supply “εἶπες” by anticipation from “οὐδέ με πείσεις εἰπών”. The poet meant to say “εἶπες”, but the subordinate and parenthetical “οὐδέ με πείσεις”, coming before “εἶπες”, changed it to “εἰπών”. On this view “ὀΐομαι” ‘I suspect’ is a parenthesis.
