[93] “δόκησε δέ οἱ κτλ.” These words describe a vivid waking impression: the recognition to which Ulysses is looking forward seems turned into a present reality by the sound of her voice. The Odyssey is rich in words expressing strong imagination, such as “ὄσσομαι, ὀΐομαι, ἰνδάλλομαι”.
