[379] ἀλλ᾽ οὐδ᾽ ὧςκακότητος, ‘yet I expect, that not even so [i. e. not even though thou reach the shore at last], wilt thou disparage thy misery.’ A threat uttered in sarcastic language; as if Odysseus would not be satisfied with anything short of the extremity of suffering. Cp. sup. 290, and the words of Priam to the Trojans, Il.24. 241 ὀνόσασθ᾽ ὅτι μοι Κρονίδης Ζεὺς ἄλγἐ ἔδωκεν”; Od.17. 378 ὄνοσαι ὅτι τοι βίοτον κατέδουσιν ἄνακτος”;
