[262] ἀμφὶ δέ. Supply again “βαλόμην”.

The plural τόξα does not, as sometimes explained, include bow and arrows, but regards the bow as a sort of composite structure of two horns and a centre: cp. Il. 1. 45 “τόξ᾽ ὤμοισιν ἔχων ἀμφηρεφέα τε φαρέτρην”. Similar to this is the use of “ἅρματα”.
