[242] δέατο (compare “δέαται”=“φαίνεται, δοκεῖ” Hesych.) is, perhaps, a form of the imperfect from a stem “δεα-”, with a bye-form “δοα”, both, acc. to Curt. Verb. p. 118, to be referred to the primary form “διϝα”, which is to be regarded as an expansion of the root div =shine. See Monro, H. G. § 11.
